W. E. A. R. General Information and Updates

Guidelines for the event as they have evolved so far (01/26/05).

1. You need to register in order to be an official participant in the event.

2. You need to have at least two witnesses to the event.

3. Submit videos or pictures of the event to document it (this is preferable but optional at this time though the Guinness folks will probably mandate a video so you may want to making those plans.)

4. Document the escape, place, time and witness names via the internet.

5. Each artist is responsible for generating press coverage of their own escape hopefully connecting it with the overall event.

Though there will be some high visible escapes and participants but this should not discourage anyone remember-

*** Every participant is a vital link in a common chain! ***

Your escape can be done in your backyard with two friends or family members or in a grand performance venue of any sort.

*** Each participant is writing history. ***

To register simply email Pastor Clyde at clyde@mighellsillusions.com with your name / city, country / escape or online at www.wearevent.info.    If you don’t know which escape you will be performing that’s okay.  We’ll keep you updated as plans progress.  Be a part of the world’s largest escape event!  Doing so will help promote the art through international publicity and by raising the public’s exposure to the art.

01/01/05 Plans are being made for the Worldwide Escape Artist’s Relay!  It will tentatively be held on October 29-30 and will consist of escape artists around the world performing an escape before two or more witnesses within a timed sequence.  The completion of the event will then be logged live on the internet.   We have contacted the Guinness folks to see if we can also claim the effort as a world’s record for the greatest number of escape artists involved in a single event.

01/06/05 This website was established to create a central location for the dissemination of information to the participants, to the press and to interested onlookers.

01/22/05 For those taking part in W.E.A.R., please make arrangements to document your escape with a picture or two. I'm hoping that each one can upload their pics to the website so that we can have a pictoral record of the event. Please know too that shirt discussions and options continue.

01/25/05 Added the clarified guidelines to this page but still waiting for a response from Guinness.

02/17/05 Since too much time has passed since submitting our information to the Guinness folks, I have resubmitted the information. The information has been unlocked and transmitted to the reviewers. As the proposal process is supposed to take place in 4-6 weeks there is still plenty of time to complete the process prior to the event.
